1.- On Mondays you will be able to enjoy the event “Noche de Vaquería”; They are regional dances, they start at nine at night, it is recommended to arrive an hour in advance.
2.- The Centennial Zoo and the Animaya Zoo are places that undoubtedly have to be on your agenda, in both parks you can enjoy attractions such as train rides, boat rides and spectacular visits with animals. It is recommended to wear a hat, sunscreen and always have water to be well hydrated.
3.- Maping videos are events that you can find on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the Historic Center; You can enjoy it on Wednesdays at the Casa de Montejo at 8:00 pm and on Saturdays at the Cathedral of Mérida at 9:00 pm.
4.- If what you are looking for is a romantic night then you must be in “Serenatas de Santa Lucía” on Thursdays, three blocks from the Cathedral of Mérida.
5.- Paseo Montejo, we invite you to walk along the most beautiful and emblematic avenue in the city. The beauty of this street, its colonial houses, the great variety of colors and smells due to its restaurants and cafes there will make you daydream.
6.- In the center of Mérida you can enjoy museums with free access such as The City Museum, Maca Museum and the murals located on the second floor of the Government Palace. History, art and culture just a few steps away.
7.- The Cathedral of San Idelfonso will be a mandatory stop to admire the majesty and beauty of this site. It is considered one of the most beautiful and oldest cathedrals in Mexico.
8.- Museum of natural history, where you can learn about life on the planet and about the Chicxulub meteorite, a place where, according to scientists, the meteorite that extinguished the dinosaurs fell and ushered in the new era.
9.- The center offers different markets where you can enter to get souvenirs for your family and friends as well as try dishes such as panucho, salbut, papadzules and many more typical foods of the region. We recommend you visit the García Rejón Bazaar, two blocks from the Cathedral of Mérida.
