Guanajuato is the most important colonial tourist destination in Mexico due to the diversity of its attractions such as its six Magical Towns, two Heritage Cities, the five Archaeological Zones and the Tourist Whereabouts that attract local, national, and international visitors.

It is the fifth most visited state in the country, offering cultural activities, fairs, gastronomy, natural attractions, and international festivals. During the first quarter of 2019 alone, it received 14.9 million visitors.

By tradition, it is considered the State of cultural tourism par excellence, however, other branches of the tourism industry have recently flourished, such as adventure, romance, gastronomy, wellness, and business.

Walk through its streets and alleys, visit theaters, temples, galleries or museums, but if you prefer to live adventures, here you can do it in different adventure and nature experiences, such as the Skydream, a hammock secured by a harness into a zipline cable suspended 100 feet above the ground; its natural parks and volcanic areas or practicing extreme sports, such as climbing, speleology, canyoning, rafting, parachuting or hang gliding while enjoying its peculiar caves, hills, pools and dams.
