International Tianguis of Magical Towns
It is a new event incorporated by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico, in which annually in an international venue, which changes every year, the tourist offer of the Magical Towns is promoted.
What are Magical Towns?
They are locations where tourism contributes to raising levels of well-being, maintaining, and increasing employment, promoting and making investment profitable, as well as strengthening and optimizing the rational use of resources and natural and cultural attractions with the basic performance of all society actors.
The International Tianguis of Magical Towns is a tool that fosters collaboration and coordination with civil society, the private sector, local governments, and tourism service providers. In addition, it has the following objectives:
- Consolidate the Magical Towns as the new tourist face of Mexico.

2023 is the year for the 2nd edition of the event, it will take place from September 22 to 24 at the iconic Shrine Expo Hall exhibition center in Los Angeles, United States.
There will be four days of exhibition, where each Magical Town will show its culture, tradition, gastronomy, crafts, and virtual content open for one year; In addition, it will be a hybrid event, with a global reach for the promotion and commercialization of the tourist offer of the Magical Towns of Mexico.
Likewise, the event offers visitors and exhibitors unparalleled opportunities such as:
- Live unique experiences in each segment of the different routes considered, such as rural, community, cultural, ecotourism, and adventure tourism activities.
- Participate in meetings and agreements between providers of tourist services of the Magical Towns and specialized international buyers through the business platform, to add commercial allies that are the tourist ambassadors of Mexico with social responsibility.
- The visitor will be able to buy trips to Mexico and make lodging reservations and specialized routes in Magical Towns.
- Exhibition and sale of Mexican handicrafts during the event and virtual platform for the commercialization of handicrafts from Magical Towns.
