With the marvelous monolith, considered the third largest in the world, behind it, San Sebastian Bernal became the first Magical Town of Querétaro with its name in 2005.

La Peña de Bernal has attracted a growing number of visitors who see this great volcanic stone colossus a place full of mysticism. Every year, during the weekend closest to the spring equinox, thousands of people visit Bernal and climb the slopes of the Peña with the holistic hope of “recharging their energy”, attributed to the ancient pre-Hispanic cosmogony. Musical shows, conchero dances, and symbolic rituals fill the streets surrounding the Peña on these special dates for the town.

For the adventurous, some tourist agencies offer the experience of climbing with experts and professional equipment to the top of La Peña, but you can also find zip lines in the surroundings that combine hiking with small doses of adrenaline when crossing these zip line circuits.
