Miramar Beach:
Located in the municipality of Ciudad Madero, just a few minutes from the Historic Center of Tampico with its radiant sun, calm waves and fine sand, Miramar is one of the most beautiful and extensive beaches in Mexico, which due to its infrastructure and quality make it the first certified beach in the Gulf of Mexico in terms of Sustainability, being inclusive and receiving the “Blue Flag” distinction twice. It has a fully illuminated coastal boulevard with important hotels and restaurants that offer a great variety of traditional dishes such as stuffed crab, seafood cocktails, fresh fish and the famous Tampico-style meat. In this extensive beach of white sand and soft dunes you can enjoy various activities such as swimming and renting palapas or boat and banana boat rides. Another option to enjoy this beach is the practice of water sports such as sailing, surfing and jetskiing. It has a beautiful breakwater, a pedestrian walkway where you will find handicrafts and a beautiful postcard of the sea and the Pánuco River.
Carbonera Beach
Enjoy the provincial hospitality in this charming beach offered by the municipality of San Fernando, on highway 101, northeast of the State of Tamaulipas. Just two hours from the U.S. border you can find an adventure with a taste of the sea where regional food stands, family palapas and boat rides await you on the beach. Sport fishing is another of the alternatives you will find in this place. Along the coast is the protected area of the Laguna Madre, with small fishing villages located in the surrounding area. Fish and seafood are an important part of the local gastronomy, shrimp is consumed fresh or dried with salt, preparing soups and sandwiches with it. It is an excellent place for picnics in the company of the family.
La Pesca Beach
Enjoy this beach of soft golden sand that the municipality of Soto la Marina has for you, located only 170 km east of Ciudad Victoria. Framed by the impressive scenery of the Laguna Madre, it has a large expanse of beach where you can enjoy swimming, fishing, boat rides, bonfires, palapa rentals, diving, sailing and hunting. In the town of La Pesca are located more than 20 hotels along the coast, restaurants, stores with accessories that allow you to practice sport fishing and sale of handicrafts. Here you will find a specialized camp for the protection and conservation of the olive ridley turtle, which year after year comes to this beautiful beach to lay its eggs. Undoubtedly one of the most visited beaches during Easter and summer vacations.
Bagdad Beach
Escape to this beach of soft sand and calm waves that allows the practice of sport fishing and water activities. Located 26 km from Matamoros, this site has the privileged condition of being the only place in the country, in addition to being border with the United States, bordering the Gulf of Mexico. You can enjoy seaside restaurants, public showers, palapas, water slides and go karts. Excellent place to enjoy a barbecue with friends and family. The beautiful sand dunes of this beach are good for adventures in 4x4 vehicles. During Easter week the traditional Festival of the Sea is celebrated, where every year artistic shows and sporting events are offered as well as sand sculpture contests, the crowning of the Queen of the Sea and the traditional parade of floats that generate an atmosphere of joy for all.
