The best trip in Mexico
Our experience through the years have given us the opportunity to reach every corner of Mexico, and one of our best and challenging trips was an immersive and genuine tour deep in the Mayan jungle and riviera.
We wanted the clients to know how the daily life of the Mayans was. So, our first day, they went to an authentic mayan community, who talked about their legends and stories, and that allowed the clients to participate in their ceremonies and rites to purify their spirit.
The next day, they visited the emblematic Mayan archaeological site, one of the New 7 Wonders and a Human Heritage site, Chichen Itza, they did not only know about the history of the ancient buildings, but they learnt how the day by day was in this magnificent place.
What would the Mayan jungle be without its natural beauty? Today was a day to get impressed by the magnificent landscapes and cenotes, they snorkeled in one of the best cenotes in the region and then swam through Sian Ka’an, which in ancient mayan means “Origin of the sky” which is a big web of calm rivers that end in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Mexico is also known for our gastronomy and cuisine, that mix the traditional ingredients and techniques with the modern way of cooking. Our clients had an amazing experience where they took a cooking class of an iconic dish in the area: “Cochinita pibil”, which is pork prepared in a hole in the ground, bathed in salsa and spices.
Of course, we did not forget the beautiful beaches and clear water of the Mayan riviera, where our clients were able to relax and chill while they enjoyed the view, the nightlife and all that Cancun has to offer.
Before their departure, they visited Tulum, a must-visit archaeological site which is located at the top of a little boulder at the beach, which was the most important port for the commerce in ancient times. And finally, they rented a bike and climbed the tallest pyramid in all the region at Coba, from where they admired the magnificence of the mayan jungle.
They left Mexico with a new perception of the country, where ancient traditions and modernity coexist to create a new vision of our incredible and unique culture.
It is hard to show our clients the best of Mexico in just a few days, but we are committed to share our knowledge so their trips will be unforgettable, and they want to return to the great country once or twice more.
