Land of the Mazahua, Otomí, Matlazinca, Tlahuica and Nahua peoples, who inherited their culture and traditions; of natural, cultural, culinary and artisanal treasures on which pride for the Mexiquense territory rests today. Located in the heart of the country, the State of Mexico is part of the states of the central zone of Mexico. Its geography embraces Mexico City to the north, east and west and its great connectivity, through a large number of highways, allows access by bus and car from the main cities of the country. Both its capital, Toluca, and the Teotihuacan Archaeological Zone, are located just 1 hour and 30 minutes from the Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City.

The State of Mexico is extensive in territory, with an area of 22,351.8 km2, and in the diversity of its natural attractions, it has mountains, volcanoes, lakes, forests, valleys and waterfalls that give an impressive landscape to everyone who visits it; as well as the opportunity to connect with nature and experience adrenaline rushes while practicing adventure sports.

The State offers a wide range of destinations and attractions such as its 10 Magical Towns, 23 Charming Towns and 4 sites declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) such as: the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the Teotihuacan Archaeological Zone and the Padre Tembleque Aqueduct; also, beautiful pieces of popular art whose works are classified into 13 artisan branches, in addition to a varied and exquisite typical cuisine.
