Aguascalientes has a territory of 5,618 km2; it is located in the country’s center, bordering Zacatecas to the north and Jalisco to the south.

Among its main attractions are the San Marcos Garden, the Plaza de las Tres Centuries, the archaeological zone “El Ocotote,” the Picacho, Tepezala, the National Museum of Death, the Temple of San Antonio de Padua, San Marcos Island, the “Boca de Túnel” canyon and the José Guadalupe Posada Museum; among others.

The state has three magical towns; Calvillo, Real de Asientos, and San José de García. One of its characteristics is its beautiful sunsets.

One of its most important celebrations and one of the best known nationally is the National Fair of San Marco, which takes place at the end of April and May.
