At the beginning of the solar phenomenon, in the Kukulkán pyramid, the sun creates an illusion of a snake descending slowly down the staircase, where it can be observed how the shadows form seven triangles that descend until reaching the head of the feathered serpent, at the At dusk, this effect symbolizes the descent of Kukulkan to earth. Symbolically, the feathered serpent joins the heavens, the earth and the underworld, day and night.
