The state of Tlaxcala is located in the center of the country. It borders the states of Hidalgo, Puebla, and the State of Mexico.

It is the second smallest state in terms of surface area and one of the least populated states. Part of its economy is based on tourism, which has as a great attraction the country’s long history and its archaeological sites, such as Cacaxtla, with its colorful murals: and some of its colonial constructions in the surroundings of the capital city.
