Tabasco is a state located in the southeast of the country. Its capital is Villahermosa and is a neighbor of Guatemala and the states of Campeche, Veracruz, and Chiapas.

It is a state rich in culture, history, gastronomy, and archaeology.

Currently, the state has several archeological zones open to the public such as La Venta, Comalcalco, Pamoná, Santa Elena, Tortuguero, Panhalé, and Malpasito, among others; which are divided into three great cultures that were part of its history, the Olmec culture, the Mayan culture, and the Zoque.

As these three cultures meet, it is a destination that has an extensive collection and likewise has several museums where important related pieces are exhibited.

Its gastronomy is strongly characterized by the Cocoa, a product to which they dedicate an entire route to him that you cannot lose. Typical plates like the Pejelagarto or drinks like the “Pozole,” made with corn and Cocoa.
